25 year old worker killed in fork lift accident

A 25-year-old worker has been killed in an accident involving a fork lift truck at a warehouse in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. It happened at around 10am on Monday 26th April 2010 at a glass recycling company.
The Liverpool Daily Post reported that local sources said they believe it had been the man’s first day on the job. A Cheshire Police spokesman confirmed the man's family has been informed and an investigation was under way. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is also investigating.
A statement from the company reads:
"We would like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the deceased with regard to this tragic accident. The company is currently cooperating with Police and Health and Safety Executive investigations and will comment further once these have been completed."
