Man crushed as fork lift overturns
A Northampton man has been crushed to death by a forklift truck in an horrific accident. The man, aged 28, died when the fork arm of the nine tonne truck toppled onto a car.
The man, who was the front-seat passenger in the car, died at the scene of the accident at the Cherwell Gate housing development in Broughton Road, Banbury, on Friday 18th January 2008.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries while a rear seat passenger suffered head injuries, which are serious but not thought to be life threatening.
