Welcome
My name is Tony Sellick and I have been involved in the fork lift truck business since 1970. I started at Yale Fork Lifts in the drawing office and left when I was training manager in 1980. Since that date I have been training operators to drive fork lift trucks of all types. I have also had an interest in computers ever since I worked for the English Electric Computer Company in 1967. I used to conduct training courses on software, mainly Microsoft office and similar and have been on line since the early days of the internet in 1995.
I ran my own fork lift training company, AES Training Services,
(which I founded along with Dot Bailey in 1980), up till 2002 but the business is now run by Dot. The idea of this site is to correct some of the "urban myths" about fork lift truck operator training. I have also taken the opportunity of including a lot of technical information relating to fork lift trucks which should be of use to people such as instructors and the like.
For those interested, this site has been done in Dreamweaver CS3 making extensive use of CSS and has been completely revised for 2010/11. I have tested it in every common PC browser on an iPhone and Galaxy Tab and it renders ok in all.
When using the search box, try only one or two words not whole phrases. Spelling is important, computers are thick:-)
If anyone has any suggestions for items to appear here please contact me and I will try my best. There is a contact link on the top and bottom of every page. I hope that you find the information on this site useful. It is correct to the best of my knowledge but is largely based on memory so again if you know different......?.
