Following the heats held at IMHX 2016 in September, RTlTB chose twelve grand finalists from an initial forty to move ahead to the finale, to be held on 22nd June 2017 at the Talent in Logistics Conference and Awards at RTITB headquarters in Telford, Shropshire.
RTITB is set for its biggest and best Grand Final yet, with finalists from differing industries and backgrounds. These include the first ever female grand finalists Samantha Tyson (PPG) and Emily White (System Training) plus the winner of the 2015 India Operator of the Year Srinivasa ND of Toyota Kirloskar.
The grand finalists will be put through their paces on eight different tests, five practical driving tests, one pre-use inspection test, a safety test and a test of their underpinning knowledge. Each element of the Grand Final will challenge the operators’ knowledge, skills and ability to couple safe operation with efficiency.
This year’s Grand Final, sponsored by Unicarriers, McCue, Pyroban, Transaid and B&B Attachments will also utilise the latest Basic Operating Skills Test criteria for counterbalance lift trucks, as released by the Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) on 30th January 2017.
All of the action can be watched live at the Talent in Logistics Conference, hosted at RTlTB's HQ in Telford, Shropshire on June 22nd 2017.. The event is open to the public and is free to go to and RTITB encourages supporters of the competition to attend. Also taking place at the Talent in Logistics Conference is the second Fork Lift Instructor of the Year competition. Entries for this are now closed.
