Forklift truck training website
How often should forklift drivers be re-trained?
The above shows the results of the poll that was carried out on this web site throughout 2012. It seems that the most common answer by far is that forklift operators should receive refresher training every three years. This agrees with the NORS system operated by the RTITB. The percentage of answers are as follows:
Every year 16%
Every three years 46%
Every five years 16%
Decider by employer 14%
Never unless truck changes 8%
I have no idea who voted in this poll but it seems to suggest that people, (nearly half of those who voted), think that a three year period before refresher training is about right.
