forklift seesaw analogy in balance

In this picture. The child on the left-hand side of the seesaw is similar to the rear wheels of the truck indicated by the letter A. The child on the right-hand side of the seesaw is equivalent to the load on the forklift truck at position B.

Both the seesaw and the forklift truck are shown in balance although in practice a forklift would never be in perfect balance as there is always extra weight on the rear wheels.

The pivot point, or tipping point, of the seesaw is known as the fulcrum. The fulcrum on a forklift truck is an imaginary line drawn through the middle of the front wheel axle.
