AITT goes digital

Association of Industrial Truck Trainers goes digital

The Association of Industrial Truck Trainers has launched a series of free electronic test forms to its members as a faster, more efficient alternative to physical paperwork.

The digital PDFs are designed to ensure AITT members have access to up-to-date resources that allow them to cut down on paper use and minimise contact amid COVID-19.

AITT Managing Director Adam Smith explained: “Businesses are doing their best to stay COVID-secure, and there is a risk of cross-contamination when handling traditional paperwork. That risk is removed with digital tests, as you simply download the PDFs to your own Android or iOS device.”

As well as being a safer option, digital paperwork ensures greater consistency within workplace transport training.

“It’s essential for training providers to work to the same set of testing standards,” said Adam. “The industry is always evolving, and by making our test papers digital, we can ensure that instructors are using the latest tests that align with any legislation changes.

“For example, if a large organisation uses in-house training and it has multiple locations around the country, it needs to make sure that every operator is being tested in the same way. With physical paperwork, there is the chance it could be out of date, and operators may be trained incorrectly. Our digital paperwork helps deliver coordinated, accredited training, and AITT members can be confident that they have the best resources available.”

AITT is also helping members cut down on admin and reduce their carbon footprint by using fewer paper tests.

Adam concluded: “Going digital removes the hassle of manually calculating scores, signing tests and posting paperwork, and it helps businesses meet their responsibility to be eco-friendly. At AITT we believe going paperless will be the future and it starts today with digital tests.”
