Re-arranged dates for safety and health excellence awards and FLTA's awards for excellence
Here is some information on a couple of events that have been rearranged due to the Corona virus pandemic
The Safety and Health Excellence Awards 2020
Western Business Media (WBM) organisers of The Safety & Health Excellence Awards, after much consideration and following the recent government guidelines regards organising events safely during the Covid-19 pandemic, have taken the decision to move the Awards presentation evening to Wednesday 28th April 2021.
As you would expect, we will ensure that all the necessary precautions regards guarding against Covid-19 transmission will be taken and an enjoyable and safe evening will be had by all.
With the change of date, also comes a change of host for the evening! We’re thrilled to announce that our new host is the man who The Times hailed as a ‘voice virtuoso’ the multi-talentedAlistair McGowan!
The Awards, which has Lyreco as headline sponsor, will once again be hosted at the VOX in Resorts World, NEC Birmingham. Last year more than 525 people attended the gala dinner to celebrate the very best in the UK health & safety sector. This years’ awards, hosted by well-known comedian and impressionist Alistair McGowan, promises to be another fantastic evening
More than 200 entries were made for the Awards and were judged by an esteemed list of judges who are industry experts. The shortlist can be seen in full here.

FLTA Awards For Excellence.
Attention all FLTA Awards ticket holders. As you are aware, we had to postpone the FLTA Awards for Excellence, which were due to take place on 21st March 2020, and had optimistically rescheduled them for 21st November this year.
With the current restrictions on large indoor gatherings still in place and unlikely to change before November, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the event until 2021.
The Awards for Excellence will now be held on Saturday 17th April 2021. We have re-booked the venue, Hilton Metropole at Birmingham NEC, for 17th April 2021 to secure the date. If you had booked rooms at the hotel, they will be cancelled and you will be required to re-book, for the revised date: Saturday 17th April 2021.
To book directly through the Hilton please use the link below.
The event promises to be an evening of networking, celebrating success in the industry and, most of all, an opportunity to socialise with each other once again.
We will, of course, be following developments and government advice closely and will keep you informed of any changes or additional safety requirements for the evening.
We are looking forward to seeing you there.
