Handling live loads with a forklift truck

Handling live loads, like the one above, can be quite dangerous as when the truck corners the load will tend to swing outwards under centrifugal force and try to take the forklift over with it.

A similar effect is obtained when handling containers which are almost full of liquid which then tends to splash about also causing forces to pull the truck over sideways.

In both the above cases it is important that all cornering is done slowly and carefully and a good idea in the case of swinging bags is for the operator to apply a small amount of rear tilt thereby forcing the bag to rest against the structure of the mast.
