Forklift capacity plate. Rated truck capacity

This slide shows the way the capacity plate should be read by the operator. There are two parts to ascertaining the trucks capacity. First the load centre in use, usually 500 mm, would be considered and then the stacking height. In this example the highest stacking height before de-ration occurs is 3890 mm. The basic capacity of this truck therefore is 1600 kg where the line projected from the load centre crosses the line projected from the height column, almost like a grid reference on a map. The greater the load centre or the higher the height, the less the truck will lift. Other combinations of height and load centre can be read off this plate directly.
