Watch out for overhead obstructions
Be careful of overhead obstructions. Roller shutter doors, lights, pipes and electrical cables are all damaged by forklift trucks.
A man I trained back in 1983 hit an overhead obstruction whilst driving a reach truck. The truck turned over backwards and he was trapped underneath and killed.
Make sure you know the overall height of your forklift with the forks in the travel position.
