Operator should walk on the outside of the truck
Injuries to the feet are very common with pallet truck use. It is considered good practice to walk to one side of the truck with either the right or left hand on the speed control. This is much safer than facing the machine although sometimes this has to be done when entering and withdrawing the pallet fingers from the load. It should go without saying that safety shoes are a must.
