The most common form of bad practice is bending over. We are all guilty of this and no wonder when you consider that children are encouraged to touch their toes and when they become workers they are expected to perform in conditions that make it necessary to bend over repeatedly.
Whilst it is impossible to avoid all bending over tasks, companies can, usually at low cost, make things much easier for their employees.
In the sample pictures shown here someone is bending over to place something in a stillage but it is possible to get stillages that dismantle or can have one side removed.
The worker shown loading a sack trolley should bend his legs, if possible, so he is nearer to the loads on the racking and the sack trolley.
