correct foot position for lifting loads

correct foot positionThe ideal foot position is one that gives the most balance. Where possible you should face in the direction of travel before lifting as this tends to avoid twisting the body.

The feet should be about the same width as the shoulders and one foot should be in front of the other with the feet as close to the load as possible.
