Organising the material into shape and pattern
There is an art to putting together a lesson. It must have "shape and pattern" to avoid putting the cart before the horse. The accepted technique is to arrange the material as shown above:
- OPENING. This is the critical stage when you first get the trainee's attention. There are various forms of opening and they will be covered later.
- During the opening you must create INTEREST else the trainees will switch off. This is also dealt with later
- The CENTRAL THEME is what you really want to talk about/teach and this is dealt with later on.
- CLOSE. There are various ways of closing and they are similar to the opening.
Once you have decided on the above format using your "raw" material it's time to make some notes.
