Changing an LP Gas cylinder on a forklift truck

To change an LP Gas cylinder use the following steps:

Make sure that there are NO naked lights nearby
Close the valve on the cylinder
Undo the brass fastener connecting the pipe to the cylinder. (It should be hand tightened ONLY)
Unfasten the retaining strap(s)
Remove the cylinder keeping in mind the manual handling regulations
Replace the empty cylinder into it's correct storage place
Fit the new cylinder with the white arrow on the back pointing vertically down
Check for leaks and damage on the new cylinder
Reverse the above procedure taking care to HAND tighten the thread on the brass fitting
