precise locationThe lady in the picture is trying to locate something on the machine and it requires her to be very accurate. All the time she is in this position she is being subjected to unusual forces which, long term, can cause damage.

There was a situation at a London firm which required a female employee to insert a shaft made of mild steel into two bearings. There was a roller in the middle of the two bearings and the whole lot weighed about 15 Kg. The task caused considerable problems and the company asked one of our instructors what could be done about it. He said "use tube instead of a solid shaft". Simple, but no one had thought of it before.
