static stress at workstations

workstation layoutInjury can be caused by staying in one place and bending over or reaching out. This is due to static stress and usually affects the upper limbs. It's generally known as upper limb disorder.

It's a good idea to keep frequently used objects near to the worker and lass common ones further away.

Remaining seated for long periods whilst working is generally considered a bad thing to do and it's recommended that people who spend a long time at desks etc get up and walk around for a couple of minutes occasionally.
